Comedian Kim Jun-hyun Parts Ways with SM C&C Amidst 'Fan Ignoring' Controversy
Comedian Kim Jun-hyun, embroiled in a controversy over allegedly ignoring fans, is set to part ways with his agency of five years.

According to reports on the 19th, Kim Jun-hyun's exclusive contract with SM C&C ends today. After thorough discussions, both parties have decided not to renew the contract.

Kim Jun-hyun joined SM C&C in 2021 after leaving JDB Entertainment. He renewed his contract once in March 2024, but the partnership is now ending after two years.

SM C&C is home to several prominent figures, including Kang Ho-dong, Jeon Hyun-moo, Seo Jang-hoon, Jang Sung-kyu, Han Seok-jun, Jang Young-ran, Hwang Je-sung, Jang Do-yeon, Bae Sung-jae, Jang Ye-won, and Hwang Jae-gyun.

Kim Jun-hyun plans to pursue independent activities without an agency for the time being.

Recently, Kim Jun-hyun faced criticism for allegedly ignoring fans. He was accused of walking past fans without acknowledging their greetings on his way to a broadcast, sparking a debate over his attitude. Kim Jun-hyun debuted as a comedian in 2007 as part of KBS's 22nd open recruitment. He is currently active as an MC on shows like 'Immortal Songs', MBC Every1's 'Welcome, First Time in Korea?', and Comedy TV's 'Delicious Guys'.
