Comedian Hong Hyun-hee revealed her post-wedding reality check after announcing her marriage to Jay Written on 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2'.
On the October 17th episode of SBS's 'Same Bed, Different Dreams Season 2 – You Are My Destiny' (hereafter 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2'), comedian Heo Anna and her husband Oh Kyung-joo joined as a new couple, while comedian Hong Hyun-hee appeared as a special MC.
During the show, Kim Gura humorously introduced Hong Hyun-hee, saying, "She has luck in both husband and children, and after dieting, she is now a beautiful comedian."
Hong Hyun-hee, who appeared in a goddess-like hairstyle and outfit, different from her usual extravagant attire, confessed, "I used to wear flashy clothes to get attention, but this time I chose an outfit that suits the 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2' studio. I always wondered how to stand out."
Heo Anna commented, "Following the couples Won Bin-Lee Na-young and Kim Woo-bin-Shin Min-ah, the 'Hong-Ssuni couple' is a wannabe." She added, "Hong Hyun-hee was active on her own, but after marrying Jay Written, their synergy exploded. She lost her edge. She used to be like a venomous toad." She also mentioned, "After giving birth, she became happier and her work went well. I was so envious."
In response, Hong Hyun-hee shared, "People were so surprised by the marriage announcement without any dating rumors. Since my husband is tall and handsome, they asked, 'How did you marry such a man?'" She questioned, "Is Jay Written really that great?" Heo Anna humorously replied, "Compared to you, yes," causing laughter.
Hong Hyun-hee admitted, "I had a reality check," adding, "After having a child, people expected the child to look like me, but since the child is cute, they started saying, 'Does she have a pretty uterus?'"
Meanwhile, Hong Hyun-hee married interior designer Jay Written (Yeon Je-seung) in 2018, and they have a son named Yeon Jun-beom. Hong Hyun-hee also shared a memorable couple's quarrel episode where she threw an egg at her husband Jay Written's head on a running KTX train.
