Actor Joo Jong-hyuk revealed the story behind his tardiness to the script reading of 'Extraordinary Attorney Woo'.
On the October 11th episode of MBC's variety show 'Radio Star', episode 956, guests Jin Seo-yeon, Geum Sae-rok, Joo Jong-hyuk, and Kwak Beom appeared.
During the show, Joo Jong-hyuk recalled the first script reading for the ENA drama 'Extraordinary Attorney Woo', starring Park Eun-bin. He shared, "I was late to the full reading because I was coming from another film shoot." Jin Seo-yeon, surprised, remarked, "I've been cut for that before. It's unbelievable."
Joo Jong-hyuk, who was 40 minutes late, explained that the 'Woo' team waited for him to arrive from the countryside. He said, "I was so nervous that my stomach hurt. I went in, apologized, and sat down, but I couldn't see the script because of the pain."
He added, "No one said anything, and everyone was understanding. I went to the bathroom right after the first part of the reading."
Joo Jong-hyuk gained recognition for his role as Kwon Min-woo in 'Woo'. He mentioned that his popularity increased with the show, saying, "Around episodes 7 or 8, I deliberately walked around COEX. Many people recognized me. It was fascinating. I even received a lot of DMs from elementary school students."
Before rising as an actor, Joo Jong-hyuk lived the life of a 'professional job seeker'. He stated, "I graduated with a degree in hotel management. I worked at a café for a long time and have a barista certificate. I also worked at a screen golf facility. While studying in New Zealand, I worked at a Mongolian restaurant and even performed fire shows."
