Jinyoung Park and Minju Kim took a trip down memory lane, reminiscing about their first loves on the YouTube channel 'Salon Drip'.
On October 10th, the actors, who star in the drama 'Shining', appeared as guests on the show. As they discussed the storyline of the drama, which revolves around a couple reuniting in their 30s after breaking up in their teens, the conversation naturally shifted to their own youthful romances.
Jinyoung Park confessed, "I was really naive back then. There was a girl I liked who loved lollipops. They cost about 200 won each. I used to get 200 won from my mom in the morning, buy a lollipop on my way to school, and give it to her. This was when I was in middle school."
Minju Kim also shared her own school days crush. "There was a boy I liked in 7th or 8th grade who was good at both academics and basketball," she recalled. "He played basketball every lunch break, and I was too shy to watch him up close. So, I skipped lunch, bought bread from the snack bar, and watched him from the 2nd or 3rd-floor hallway. I never showed my feelings back then."
Minju even studied hard to be in the same class as her crush. "There were different levels for math and English classes: A, B, and C. I was okay at English but not so good at math. He was in the math A class, so I worked hard to get into that class," she explained.
Despite her efforts, Minju never mustered the courage to talk to the 'perfect' boy. When asked by Jang Do-yeon if the boy ever knew about her feelings, Minju shyly admitted, "I don't think he ever knew." Reflecting on those days, she added, "It was a bit tough back then, but looking back now, it feels sweet and innocent."
