Actor Park Shin-yang Dispels Rumors About Skipping Award Ceremonies

Actor and painter Park Shin-yang has addressed rumors about intentionally avoiding award ceremonies.

On the morning of the 10th, Park appeared as a guest on KBS 1TV's 'Morning Yard' Tuesday special.

Discussing his background in theater and film, Park shared, "I was initially applying for architecture, but a friend asked if I wanted to join the theater and film department. I felt I should go in that direction and made the switch."

Park also explained how his philosophy in acting translates into his painting. His journey into art began during his studies abroad, inspired by a friend. "During a tough time, I missed my friend dearly. Although I could contact them, I realized I longed for the days in Russia when I could freely discuss art with like-minded people," he said.

Addressing the 'award ceremony absence' rumors, Park clarified, "That's not true," adding humorously, "When I attended, it was too long, not entertaining, and cold. I just wanted to go home and paint. So, I tend not to show up often." However, he added, "I enjoy events like book talks," with a laugh. When asked about his experience on 'Morning Yard,' he responded with a bright smile, "I love it here."
