On October 9, the YouTube channel 'Jjanhanyoung Shin Dong-yup' released a video titled 'Is This Real!? Joo Ji-hoon, Ha Ji-won, Nana.' In the video, Nana joined Ha Ji-won, Joo Ji-hoon, and Shin Dong-yup for a candid conversation.
Shin Dong-yup brought up the incident where a burglar broke into Nana's home. Last November, a man in his 30s had entered her residence, leading to a physical altercation with Nana, who was reportedly armed with a weapon. Reflecting on the incident, Nana said, "It was truly chaotic, and I was incredibly fortunate. The moment felt very long, but it was actually fleeting."
Nana continued, "After the incident, I realized that in an emergency, you have to act instinctively. I wondered if I would have been as brave if there hadn't been a weapon. But I saw the weapon drop, and I instinctively defended myself."
Nana also shared how the experience strengthened her bond with her mother, saying, "I've always been close to my mom, but this incident made me realize even more how unique she is. At the time, my mom was in the living room while I was asleep in my room. The rooms are quite separate, so I couldn't hear much, but miraculously, I heard my mom's faint sound, which woke me up. My mom couldn't scream because she was worried I might get hurt if I came out."
Nana added, "My mom was briefly unconscious from being choked. Later, she regretted not telling me to lock the door. Hearing that, I realized how scared she must have been, and it brought us even closer."
Despite having no martial arts training, Nana explained, "I acted purely on instinct, knowing my mom was in danger. I rushed out without thinking and tackled the intruder."
