Lee Dong-gun recently shared his concerns about his daughter Roa's teenage years.
On the October 8th episode of SBS's variety show 'My Little Old Boy,' Lee Dong-gun's daily life in his new home was revealed.
During the episode, Lee Dong-gun decorated a room for his daughter Roa, who is now in the third grade, to keep a promise he made to her.
Actor Choi Dae-chul visited Lee's home, and they discussed their daughters. When asked what he usually does with Roa, Lee Dong-gun replied, "We go to her grandparents' house for meals, visit kids' cafes, draw, and watch new animated movies together. I think of it more as playing together than parenting."
Choi Dae-chul mentioned, "Before my daughter went to high school, it was a bit difficult to enter her room. You have to knock before entering, and she's sensitive about changing clothes," referring to the teenage years. Lee Dong-gun agreed, saying, "I'm also worried about that part you mentioned."
Lee Dong-gun expressed his concerns, saying, "When Roa hits puberty, I'm not sure how her thoughts about a dad who doesn't live with her will change." He added, "It's both scary and exciting. I'm trying to maintain a good relationship with her."
Roa sometimes tells Lee Dong-gun, "I wish I could live with you, Dad. I want to live with you," to which he responds, "I feel the same way," though he shows a bittersweet expression due to the reality of their situation.
Lee Dong-gun married actress Jo Yoon-hee in 2017 and welcomed their daughter Roa. They divorced three years later in 2020, with Jo Yoon-hee retaining custody.
In May of last year, Lee Dong-gun was rumored to be dating Kang Hae-rim, who is 16 years his junior. Although neither party officially confirmed the relationship, they were spotted on public dates in the Gangnam area, effectively acknowledging their romance.
