On the morning of the 9th, a production briefing for the film 'The Ultimate Investigation' was held at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall in Seoul. Director Park Cheol-hwan and actors Bae Sung-woo, Jung Ga-ram, Esom, Jo Han-chul, and Yoon Kyung-ho were in attendance.
'The Ultimate Investigation' is a crime investigation drama that follows the story of 'Jae-hyuk,' a detective demoted to a rural area, who gets a last chance in life. He teams up with rookie detective 'Jung-ho' to solve a murder case involving two suspects, leading them on an intense investigation in Seoul. The film was initially set to release under the title 'Field Investigation' after completing filming in 2019, but its release was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and Bae Sung-woo's DUI controversy.
Given the long wait, there are concerns about scenes that might not align with current times. Addressing this, Director Park stated, "There aren't many depictions of the era, so I don't think there will be any jarring moments for viewers." He added, "There were moments of frustration, but after extensive post-production and editing, we have a final cut that we are satisfied with."
The film is scheduled to be released on the 2nd of next month.
