Comedian Park Mi-sun Returns to Work After Battling Breast Cancer
Comedian Park Mi-sun has announced her return to work after a two-year battle with breast cancer.
On the 5th, Park Mi-sun shared two photos on her social media with the caption "It's been a while since I've been on set." In the photos, Park is seen in a semi-formal outfit, smiling brightly alongside actress Kim Jung-nan.
She expressed, "Many people have told me not to work yet and have been worried, so I'm planning to return to the scene slowly and carefully. It's important to live life as usual since it's a lifelong battle, right? I'm planning to take it slow and steady." She added, "It was especially enjoyable to shoot with my dear friend, Kim Jung-nan."
Following her post, fellow comedian Jo Hye-ryun commented, "You look like a news anchor," while comedian Shim Jin-hwa cheered her on with, "Wow! Fighting!"
Previously, in November last year, Park Mi-sun appeared on the tvN variety show 'You Quiz on the Block' where she opened up about her breast cancer diagnosis and treatment process. She revealed, "In a comprehensive health check-up in 2024, breast cancer was discovered. I had surgery on Christmas Eve, and it turned out it had spread to the lymph nodes. When it spreads, chemotherapy is mandatory. I underwent 16 sessions of radiation therapy and am currently on medication."
Park Mi-sun had halted all activities in January due to health reasons. She disclosed her battle with breast cancer and has now resumed her activities after approximately 10 months.
