The latest episode of JTBC's variety show 'Can't Do It Alone' featured an epic meat feast with baseball legend Lee Dae-ho, known as the 'Meat Lover'.
Aired on the 3rd, the show saw hosts Jeon Hyun-moo, Choo Sung-hoon, Lee Soo-ji, and Lee Se-hee join Lee Dae-ho for a 'Meat Tour', consuming a staggering 34 servings of meat. Despite the impressive display, the show's ratings dipped by 0.4% to 1.3%.
Lee Dae-ho welcomed the members at a popular SNS hotspot where golf and meat grilling go hand in hand. Known for his love of meat, Lee revealed he can eat up to 17 servings of beef tripe alone, astonishing everyone. Fellow 'Meat Lover' Choo Sung-hoon also shared his fondness for beef tripe, recounting a time when they consumed 35 servings together.
The group kicked off with a pork belly feast, adding excitement with a golf distance game to decide who would pay for the meal. Jeon Hyun-moo, Choo Sung-hoon, Lee Soo-ji, and Lee Se-hee's combined distance was 457 meters, while Lee Dae-ho's two attempts totaled an impressive 490.4 meters, leaving everyone in awe.
The 'Black and White Meat Battle' between Choo Sung-hoon and Lee Dae-ho unfolded at a restaurant known for its beef tongue. Their contrasting styles of grilling and seasoning added intrigue to the feast.
Lee Dae-ho shared his quirky meat superstition, eating beef after hitting a home run and pork otherwise. He recalled his luckiest meal, fish cake soup, which he ate during a nine-game home run streak. Choo Sung-hoon shared his own superstitions, including wearing a winning shirt for 10 years and seeking out the exact banana color he ate before a victory.
The 'Meat Lovers' continued their feast with brisket and spicy pork bone stew. Despite claiming not to prefer boiled meat, Lee Dae-ho couldn't resist the brisket, finishing his plate with a smile. The duo's differing preferences—Lee's love for fatty cuts and Choo's for lean—added to the culinary adventure.
The group devoured 13 servings of pork belly, 7 of beef tongue, 10 of brisket, and 4 of spicy pork bone stew, totaling 34 servings. Yet, Lee Dae-ho humorously remarked, "We ate too little," suggesting he could have eaten more with a longer meal.
