Red Velvet's Wendy and American singer-songwriter Alec Benjamin have teamed up for a special collaboration. Wendy, who parted ways with SM Entertainment last April after a long tenure, has since joined Ascend.

Danal Entertainment released the global collaboration single 'EMOTIONS' on October 27 at 6 PM as the first outcome of their 2026 strategic collaboration project aimed at the global music market.

This project is a joint effort between Danal Entertainment and Devine Channel, designed to expand into the global market through collaborations between Korean and American artists.

The first collaboration features Wendy, the main vocalist of the K-pop group Red Velvet, and Alec Benjamin, known for his unique vocal tone. The two artists have come together for the first time on the global single 'EMOTIONS'.

Alec Benjamin is an artist known for his minimal sound, sincere lyrics, and emotion-driven storytelling. With Wendy's exceptional vocal skills and deep emotional expression, 'EMOTIONS' has been crafted into an R&B track that harmonizes the delicate emotional lines of both vocalists.

'EMOTIONS' captures the warmth hidden within the cold winter air, with the restrained sound allowing the artists' vocals to blend naturally, leaving a subtle yet profound impression. The single is the first project of 2026, completed by producer Lee Young-ho, known for successful global collaborations like 'TABLO X JOEY BADA$$ - Hood' and 'BewhY X Talib Kweli - International Wave', and Devine Channel, a leading Korean hip-hop producer known for works like 'Jacquees, Paul Blanco - Risk'.
