CORTIS Electrifies Fans with 'REDRED' Release Party Performance

The group CORTIS set the stage on fire with an electrifying performance at their 'REDRED' release party, held on the day of their mini-album's release.

CORTIS, consisting of members Martin, James, Juhun, Sunghyun, and Gunho, hosted the 'REDRED Release Party' on the 20th at the YES24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul. Following the concept of a celebratory event with fans, which they first introduced with their debut album last September, the group once again shared precious moments with their fandom, COER. For approximately 90 minutes, they delivered a passionate performance, captivating the audience both on and off the stage.

The release party kicked off with the first-ever performance of the title track 'REDRED'. The vibrant energy exuded by the five members instantly captivated the audience. The powerful melody and beat of the song were complemented by their solid live vocals. The audience quickly caught on to the unique lyrics, which metaphorically describe what the team pursues as 'GREEN' and what they caution against as 'RED', singing along and enhancing the excitement. Under the red lights, CORTIS expressed their overwhelming emotions, saying, "Performing in front of COER and hearing their cheers makes all the hard work in the practice room worthwhile."

The group also shared stories about the creation of their music, music video, and choreography. True to their identity as a 'young creator crew', they collaboratively crafted every element of the new song, offering vivid insights. The members explained, "The 'cross the fence' in the 'REDRED' lyrics is the same wall that appeared in our debut album's title track 'What You Want'. We've embedded our story in the lyrics once again." Before the official music video shoot, they surprised the audience by revealing the original version of 'REDRED' that they had produced themselves. Regarding the visuals and outfits in the video, they commented, "We combined 2000s style with our usual attire, creating a unique new style that we really liked." They also engaged the audience in a special moment by teaching them the signature choreography and filming a challenge video together.

During the performance of the mini-album track 'YOUNGCREATORCREW', the audience erupted in a sing-along, reminiscent of a music festival. As the members descended to the first-floor seats to sing, the atmosphere reached its peak. Fueled by the audience's fervent enthusiasm, CORTIS delivered an impromptu encore. They performed tracks from their mini 1st album, including 'FaSHioN' and the title track 'What You Want', encouraging audience participation and showcasing their increasingly relaxed stage presence.

Towards the end of the show, they expressed their gratitude, saying, "Thank you for jumping and enjoying with us. It was great to be close to you and breathe together. Even though the new song was just released, hearing you sing along already gave us strength and made it so much fun."

CORTIS is set to release a conceptual performance film detailing the choreography of 'REDRED' on April 21 at 9 PM. They will then make appearances on domestic music shows, starting with Mnet's 'M Countdown' on the 23rd. On May 4, they will officially release their mini 2nd album 'GREENGREEN' and hold their second release party at 8 PM at S Factory S in Seongdong-gu, Seoul.
