Jisoo Aims for 'Rom-Com Goddess' Status with Netflix's 'Monthly Boyfriend'
Singer and actress Jisoo is eager to earn the title of 'Rom-Com Goddess'.

The press conference for the Netflix drama 'Monthly Boyfriend' was held on the 26th at the JW Marriott Hotel in Dongdaemun, Seoul. The event was attended by actors Seo In-guk, Jisoo, and director Kim Jung-sik.

'Monthly Boyfriend' tells the story of Mirae (played by Jisoo), a webtoon PD exhausted by real life, who subscribes to a virtual boyfriend through a dating simulation.

Jisoo expressed her excitement about her first romantic comedy and modern drama, saying, "Being the same age as Mirae, I found many relatable and fun aspects. It was enjoyable to create a character I could empathize with. Since (Seo) In-guk oppa has a lot of experience with romance, I followed his lead and worked hard," she added, expressing her desire to be known as a 'Rom-Com Goddess'.

Previously, Jisoo faced criticism for her acting skills, including unclear pronunciation and awkward expressions, in JTBC's 'Snowdrop' and Coupang Play's 'Newtopia'.

The series is set to premiere on Netflix on November 6th.
