Netflix has confirmed the production of the romantic comedy film 'Starry Affair' and revealed the casting of Kim Min-ha and Noh Sang-hyun.
Netflix is set to produce 'Starry Affair,' a romantic comedy that promises to resonate with audiences by exploring the ups and downs of a long-term relationship. The film follows a couple who have been together for 10 years, showcasing the extreme love and hate they experience, and the lengths they go to because of love.
Su-hyun (played by Kim Min-ha) and Hyun-tae (played by Noh Sang-hyun) meet on an art campus and fall in love at first sight. Despite being together for a decade, they continue to experience intense love and occasional hatred, capturing the chaotic reality of their relationship in a humorous way. 'Starry Affair' aims to depict the authenticity of passionate relationships that many have experienced or wish to experience, all within the romantic comedy genre.
Kim Min-ha and Noh Sang-hyun, who previously showcased their chemistry in the series 'Pachinko,' reunite as the long-term couple Su-hyun and Hyun-tae. Kim Min-ha, known for her role in 'Tae-pung Company,' will portray Su-hyun, a capable curator who strives for perfection in her career but becomes vulnerable in love and jealousy. Noh Sang-hyun will play Hyun-tae, a passionate installation artist with strong beliefs, marking a new transformation for the actor.
'Starry Affair' is directed by emerging filmmaker Seo Jung-min, a graduate of the Korea National University of Arts. The film will be exclusively available on Netflix.
