K-pop singer Jeong Dong-won is set to fulfill his military duty.
On the 23rd, Jeong Dong-won will enlist in the Marine Corps training camp to begin his service.
Jeong has consistently expressed his desire to join the Marine Corps. His agency, Showplay Entertainment, stated, "This decision is in line with Jeong Dong-won's long-held wishes. We believe that everyone will respect his choice and warmly support him."
There will be no official event on the day of his enlistment. The agency requested, "As the enlistment ceremony is a gathering for many soldiers and their families, we kindly ask you to refrain from visiting the site and to support him in spirit."
They added, "We ask for your warm support so that Jeong Dong-won can complete his military service healthily and return to you more mature."
Meanwhile, Jeong Dong-won released a remake mini-album 'Collection Vol.2' on the 5th. This is his first new album in about a year since his full-length album 'Gift of the Tall One' was released in March last year. On the 13th, he held a fan concert at Ilsan Kintex, engaging with fans right up until his enlistment.
