On the recent episode of MBN's variety show 'Day and Night,' anchor Kim Joo-ha revealed why she would choose actor Kim Kwang-kyu as her ideal blind date.
The episode, aired on the 21st, featured broadcaster Kim Dae-ho and actor Kim Kwang-kyu as guests.
During the show, host Kim Joo-ha asked Kim Kwang-kyu if it was their first meeting, to which he humorously expressed his disappointment, saying, "I'm hurt."
It turned out that they had previously crossed paths at MBC in Yeouido. Kim Kwang-kyu recalled, "It was during an MBC drama shoot, and Kim Joo-ha was getting her makeup done next to me. I was really surprised by how beautiful she was."
He further complimented her eyes, comparing them to the 'Candy eyes' from the comic book 'Candy,' and noted, "It's been almost 20 years, and she still looks the same."
Kim Kwang-kyu humorously added, "I felt like I couldn't breathe again. She's so beautiful that I can't even look at her; please give me some water," causing laughter in the studio.
Comedian Moon Se-yoon then posed an impromptu question, asking, "Between Kim Dae-ho and Kim Kwang-kyu, who would you choose for a blind date?" Without hesitation, Kim Joo-ha chose Kim Kwang-kyu, drawing attention.
When asked why, Kim Joo-ha replied, "I married for looks once... and ended up with a man who had plastic surgery," leaving her sentence unfinished, and added with a laugh, "I don't care about looks anymore." Kim Kwang-kyu, with a mock hurt expression, said, "I think we should stop talking about this," which filled the studio with laughter.
