Kim Dae-ho's Surprising Revelation on 'Save Me! Holmes': 'I'll Live Alone After Marriage'

TV personality Kim Dae-ho, 41, made a surprising statement, saying, "As soon as I get married, I'm going to live alone."

On the January 19th episode of MBC's variety show 'Save Me! Holmes' (hereafter referred to as 'Holmes'), the cast continued their 'Gangwon Province Winter Survival' special, exploring life in a remote village during the harsh winter.

In this second installment of the 'Gangwon Province Winter Survival' special, Kim Dae-ho, Yang Se-hyung, Yang Se-chan, and Ahn Jae-hyun continued their exploration. They used the 'Hwa Jeon Min House' as their base camp to start their living experience. The four were divided into two teams based on Yang Se-chan's choice, who won a wish ticket in a previous curling game. Yang Se-chan and Ahn Jae-hyun stayed at the base camp to cook, while Kim Dae-ho and Yang Se-hyung ventured out to explore the village, observing the winter mountain scenery and lifestyle.

While preparing lunch, the Se-chan & Jae-hyun team explored the newly built wooden house of the homeowner located in the mountains. Unlike the traditional Hwa Jeon Min House, this modern space was equipped with the latest electronic devices like a tablet PC, two laptops, a 65-inch TV, and filming equipment, contrasting with the homeowner's emphasis on self-sufficiency in nature.

Returning from the cabbage field, the Dae-ho & Se-hyung team discovered a small bookstore in the village. Operated by a children's book author, the space housed around 1,500 books, including personal collections and donated books. Yang Se-hyung added warmth to the visit by donating his poetry book, 'The Path of Stars.'

The next stop for Dae-ho & Se-hyung was a remodeled mud house inhabited by a former corporate employee who had been living there for eight years. Although it shared the same structure as the Hwa Jeon Min House, the kitchen and bathroom had been modernized, creating a different atmosphere. The homeowner, who had long dreamed of living in a remote area, humorously noted that he had instilled the idea of remote living in his family from a young age to avoid opposition. He praised the benefits of living in isolation, saying, "It's a place where I can live solely by my will." Kim Dae-ho added, "If I live in nature, while family is great, there will be times when I want to be alone. I'll see my family come and go," and made the bombshell statement, "As soon as I get married, I'm going to live alone."

The four wrapped up their living experience with a lunch at the base camp. During their break, they were surprised by the appearance of 'OjiBro,' an expert in extreme camping with 18 years of experience. He captivated attention by revealing that he had camped in temperatures as low as -33 degrees Celsius and recently camped in a snow cave on Ulleungdo Island. The group then followed him for a winter camping experience.

OjiBro chose a flat area next to a valley as the beginner's course for camping. He constructed a tent using a 3,000 won waterproof tarp and hiking sticks. The group then shared their camping items, with OjiBro, a self-proclaimed heavy backpacker, showcasing items like mood lighting, insulated boots, a thermal blanket, and a self-heating meal, sharing camping tips along the way. Kim Dae-ho brought a tube, drawing playful criticism, while Yang Se-hyung brought a poetry book, Ahn Jae-hyun a snowball maker, and Yang Se-chan a Bluetooth speaker, adding a touch of romance. After sharing their camping items, they lay side by side in the tent, concluding their winter survival experience.
