According to Nielsen Korea on the 20th, the episode of 'Miss Trot 4' aired on the 19th recorded a nationwide rating of 14.7%. It has maintained the number one spot across all channels in its time slot for 10 consecutive weeks, and it also topped all daily programs, Thursday variety shows, and weekly variety shows across all channels from February 12 to February 19. The peak viewership rating soared to 15.6%, proving its popularity.
The episode featured the fourth round of the legendary mission individual competition. Contestants performed songs by Kim Soo-hee, Choi Jin-hee, Kim Yeon-ja, and Kim Yong-im. High scores, unexpected turns, tears, and cheers were all part of the mix.
Huh Chan-mi was the first to shake things up. She chose to focus on her vocals rather than performance, selecting Kim Yeon-ja's 'You Are a Spiteful Butterfly.' The result was 1,498 out of 1,500 points, with only one judge not giving a perfect score. Jang Yoon-jung commented, “She’s caught the wind perfectly,” and Huh Chan-mi responded with tears on stage, securing the first place spot.
Lee So-na shared a personal story off-stage, revealing her mother's battle with Parkinson's disease for the first time as she sang Choi Jin-hee's 'The Departed You.' Her emotions poured out, and Jang Yoon-jung remarked, “She’s broken out of her shell.” Yoon Tae-hwa also shared her pain from divorce, delivering her heartfelt performance of 'Confession.'
Hong Sung-yoon proved his popularity by performing Kim Soo-hee's 'Lonely Lover.' Kim Soo-hee praised him, saying, “He sang it better than I did,” and Boom added, “I can see the top three.” Yoon Yoon-seo moved the audience again with 'Live Long,' showcasing her consistent stage presence.
Jeok Woo delivered a powerful rendition of Kim Soo-hee's 'Lost Love.' Master Park Sun-joo described it as an “overwhelming performance” but also provided a critical evaluation, highlighting the true skills revealed under pressure.
Despite health challenges, the contestants persevered. Lee Elijah, suffering from nasopharyngitis, completed her performance of Choi Jin-hee's 'We Broke Up Too Easily.' Gil Ryeo-won, despite a hoarse voice, delivered Kim Yong-im's 'Love Journey' with her signature technique, earning the title of “technician.”
The lower-ranked contestants also created drama. Kim San-ha, who was 15th in the first round, scored 1,492 points with Kim Soo-hee's 'Burden,' jumping to 10th place and securing a spot in the semifinals. Jang Yoon-jung predicted, “The rankings will fluctuate,” and indeed, the dynamics shifted.
The final Top 10 are: 1st Huh Chan-mi, 2nd Hong Sung-yoon, 3rd Gil Ryeo-won, 4th Yoon Yoon-seo, 5th Yoon Tae-hwa, 6th Yeom Yoo-ri, 7th Yoo Mi, 8th Lee So-na, 9th Lee Elijah, and 10th Kim San-ha. Jeok Woo, Kim Da-na, Jung Hye-rin, Jang Hye-ri, Kim Hye-jin, and Chae Yoon were unfortunately eliminated.
The rankings fluctuated until the end due to the differing scores from the masters and the national representative panel. The semifinals of 'Miss Trot 4' will air on the 26th at 9:30 PM.
