Actress Hwang Bo-ra has once again caught public attention with a car issue following her previous 'staged car accident controversy.'
On the 17th, a video titled 'Spicy Hometown Visit of 4-Year Rookie Mom Hwang Bo-ra' was uploaded on the YouTube channel 'Hwang Bo-ra Variety.'
In the video, Hwang Bo-ra visits a department store to buy a birthday gift for her father before heading to her hometown, Busan. After shopping, she expressed her frustration, saying, "My parents hurriedly took a taxi home with my son Woo-in. The car battery is dead. I called the insurance company. Our dinner plans are ruined, and it's a mess. What a chaotic day. How can I even think of traveling to Busan like this?"
After successfully repairing the car, Hwang Bo-ra embarked on her Busan trip. She explained, "I was planning to take the train, but with a large family and Woo-in being restless on the train, it seemed unmanageable. Driving seemed more cost-effective, so we decided to take the car."
Her husband, Cha Hyun-woo, expressed disappointment upon hearing that a famous Busan restaurant had closed, saying, "This is like losing a piece of history. It's the only place I truly loved." While on the train enjoying the scenery, Cha Hyun-woo remarked, "It's no different from passing through Oksu-dong on the subway," showing his boredom, and eventually, they got off to visit an observatory bridge. Their son Woo-in provided comic relief by running away in fear after looking down through the glass floor of the skywalk.
Hwang Bo-ra noted, "This is so different from our last trip to Hawaii. We have no luggage. Woo-in didn't even bring a jacket or shoes. He'll have to manage with just one outfit, but it's cold, so we'll have to buy some." Meeting family in her hometown, they gave Woo-in 50,000 won as pocket money, to which Hwang Bo-ra gratefully said, "Please give the pocket money to mom."
Watching her son play with foxtail grass, Hwang Bo-ra lamented, "What is that? I've become forgetful after having a child." A long-time friend of Hwang Bo-ra commented, "Bo-ra wasn't rebellious. She was kind." As she left her hometown, Hwang Bo-ra reflected, "I used to walk these streets holding my mom's hand, and now I walk them holding my son's hand. It's bringing tears to my eyes."
Meanwhile, Hwang Bo-ra faced backlash on the 11th after posting a promotional video on her social media that featured provocative imagery reminiscent of a car accident. The controversy resurfaced her 2007 DUI incident, prompting Hwang Bo-ra to apologize, saying, "I apologize for the lack of discretion in the group purchase video."
