Comedian Heo Kyung-hwan's unique philosophy on gifting in relationships is gaining attention, as his past breakup with a high-achieving girlfriend is also being revisited.
Recently, a video titled "Heo Kyung-hwan's Story of Dating a High-Achieving Girlfriend" was uploaded on the YouTube channel 'Diggle.'
Heo Kyung-hwan had previously shared his experience of dating a high-achieving girlfriend on the variety show 'Taxi.'
In the video, Lee Young-ja commented, "Comedians often prefer partners from intellectual backgrounds," mentioning couples like Shin Dong-yup and PD Sun Hye-yoon, and Yoo Jae-suk and Na Kyung-eun.
Heo Kyung-hwan revealed that he once dated a high-achieving girlfriend, saying, "I didn't know at first, but she was very accomplished academically, always ranking at the top of her class. I found out during our conversations."
He humorously confessed, "During our conversations, I felt like she wasn't using even 1% of her brain with me." When Lee Young-ja asked how much of his brain he used, Heo replied, "I used 95% of my brain. The remaining 5% was my last bit of pride."
Recently, on a variety show, Heo was asked about the most expensive gift he had given a girlfriend. He responded, "Luxury gifts are only given after two years." When asked what he would do if a girlfriend demanded a luxury bag, he firmly stated, "That's a breakup request," highlighting his clear stance on gifting in relationships.
Meanwhile, Heo Kyung-hwan is emerging as a popular figure, being considered for the MC role on tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block.' Additionally, he previously reported achieving sales of 30 billion KRW (approximately $25 million) with his chicken breast business in 2010.
