According to a report on the 12th, Hwang Hee-chan signed a contract with the protocol service company Bahana (UCK) under his personal corporation 'BtheHC' in 2024. The agreement involved Bahana (party B) providing vehicles to Hwang Hee-chan (party A) in exchange for promotional services.
Bahana provided a total of 22 luxury vehicles, including a Ferrari SF90, Purosangue, and Lamborghini Urus Performante, all worth millions.
Bahana claimed that Hwang Hee-chan was involved in over 10 accidents while driving these supercars in 2024, including three bumper damages, four wheel damages, engine electrical issues, and seat contamination.
Hwang Hee-chan's sister, Hwang Hee-jung, was also reportedly involved in over 10 accidents, including collisions with a Chevrolet and a GLE while driving a Mercedes G63 AMG.
In response, Hwang Hee-chan's agency, BtheHC Corporation, refuted these claims, stating, "This is a malicious attempt to exploit the status and goodwill of a star player to escape economic hardship by spreading false information."
Regarding the alleged abandonment of supercars, the agency explained, "Hwang Hee-chan did not leave the scene immediately but communicated with the representative, sending warning light and location photos. The representative promised to send a tow truck and a temporary replacement vehicle, so he waited in the car for about 15 minutes."
They further stated, "The incidents occurred due to insufficient explanation of the vehicle's precautions to the service recipient. Despite the car not functioning properly, Hwang Hee-chan did his best to safely maneuver to the roadside within the maximum distance the car could travel."
The agency also clarified that "In the event of minor accidents, Hwang Hee-chan promptly informed the representative with detailed reports, apologized, and asked to be informed of any necessary compensation." They denied allegations of managing the company's overall operations and blocking other athlete-related businesses, claiming instead that they introduced several famous sports stars, labeling the reports as false.
