Jungwon, the leader of the K-pop group ENHYPEN, has pledged a generous donation of ₩100 Million(approximately $68,500) to celebrate his birthday by joining the 'Honor Society,' a high-value donor group under the Community Chest of Korea, led by Chairman Yoon Yeojun. This donation, inspired by his desire to give back to society for the love he has received from fans, will support vulnerable children and youth over the next five years.
The Community Chest of Korea announced on the 9th that Jungwon has become the 3,886th member of the 'Honor Society,' a program for individual high-value donors. In celebration of his birthday on February 9th, Jungwon has committed to donating a total of ₩100 Million, distributing ₩20 Million annually over five years. The funds will be used for educational and welfare support for underprivileged children and youth, as well as broader social welfare initiatives.
Jungwon expressed, "As a K-pop artist, I have received immense love and support, and I always remind myself that such attention is never to be taken for granted. I hope this contribution serves as a strong encouragement and source of courage for children who face barriers to accessing their rightful opportunities."
