Tak Jae-hoon and Lee Sang-min Return with New Show 'Aneunde Jinjja!' After 'Dolsing Fourmen' Ends

Tak Jae-hoon and Lee Sang-min have successfully landed new roles just two months after the end of 'Dolsing Fourmen.' Tak Jae-hoon humorously blamed Lee Sang-min's remarriage for the show's cancellation, showcasing his playful side.

On the 2nd, SBS's new variety show 'Aneunde Jinjja!' held an online press conference. The event featured Tak Jae-hoon, Lee Sang-min, Lee Soo-ji, and EXO's Kai. 'Aneunde Jinjja!' (hereafter referred to as 'AneunJin') is a character talk show that breaks away from traditional talk show formats by incorporating a unique universe and characters.

The show is the brainchild of Kwak Seung-young CP, known for 'My Little Old Boy' and 'My Turn,' with Seo Ha-yeon PD directing. Seo PD was also the director of 'Dolsing Fourmen.' Despite being a long-running talk show on SBS, 'Dolsing Fourmen' faced criticism for losing its original intent after Kim Jun-ho and Lee Sang-min remarried, leading to calls for their departure and the show's eventual cancellation at the end of last year.

At the heart of 'AneunJin' is Tak Jae-hoon. He was a regular on 'Dolsing Fourmen' alongside Lee Sang-min for four years and worked with Lee Soo-ji on 'My Turn.' Kai previously collaborated with Tak Jae-hoon five years ago on tvN's 'Udo Inn.'

Kai shared his reason for joining, saying, "I wanted to try a talk show. The idea of acting with a character was refreshing. I heard Jae-hoon hyung was involved, so I thought it would be a comfortable show. 'Udo Inn' was intense, but he handled it with ease."

Lee Soo-ji, the only female member, said, "I accepted the offer immediately. I wanted to learn from working with the production team from 'My Turn' and senior Tak Jae-hoon."

Tak Jae-hoon revealed, "After 'Dolsing Fourmen,' I returned with a new program," and mentioned he was the first to be cast for 'AneunJin.' He added, "There was an order to the casting. I was first, Lee Soo-ji second, Lee Sang-min third, and Kai joined last after much deliberation."

Regarding his reason for joining 'AneunJin,' Tak Jae-hoon said, "Since one show ended, I needed to do another. It wasn't my decision to end the previous show; it was because of Lee Sang-min." He continued, "I didn't want my mother to see me idle, so I took it on. Initially, the title wasn't even decided; it was called 'Twelve Zodiac Signs.' It was confusing what kind of show it would be, but after discussions with the production team, it became 'AneunJin.'"

On his feelings about re-employment, he expressed, "I'm happy. Being able to work again feels like a gift from God," and humorously added, "It's scary to work again with the 'program killer.'"

When asked about the chemistry with the members, Tak Jae-hoon said, "It's about adjusting as we go. I've worked with Lee Sang-min for so long that I know him well. Soo-ji is witty, and Kai has his own charm. We talked about everything while doing 'Udo Inn.' I feel like I'm overseeing everything."

Kai commented on Tak Jae-hoon, "He's become more stylish since then, though he seems to have gained some weight." Tak Jae-hoon responded, "That's true. I've gained weight because I'm more relaxed now. I lost a lot of weight during 'Dolsing Fourmen' due to stress over the show's potential cancellation."

Lee Sang-min, the recipient of the '2025 SBS Entertainment Awards' Grand Prize, accepted the offer without hesitation, saying, "There was no need to think twice. The writers and CP from 'My Little Old Boy' and the 'Dolsing Fourmen' production team created this show. Finding the intersection of skits and talk seemed fun and new." He added, "I wondered why they included me. Maybe they wanted me to give my best since they awarded me last year."

On his feelings about re-employment, he said, "I'm very grateful. I was let go from 'Dolsing Fourmen' right after getting married last year. I felt sorry because it was my fault, but now I have something to tell my wife."

Lee Sang-min humorously added, "Every week is tough. Tak Jae-hoon keeps saying it's my fault 'Dolsing Fourmen' ended. If this show ends, is it my fault too?" Tak Jae-hoon replied, "This show won't end. You'll be the one to go. You're too optimistic, and it bothers me."

When asked to send a video message to 'Dolsing Fourmen' members Kim Jun-ho and Im Won-hee, who haven't found new roles, Lee Sang-min said, "Im Won-hee is doing great on 'My Little Old Boy.' Kim Jun-ho is active on YouTube with his wife, Kim Ji-min." Tak Jae-hoon added, "They're not that active."

When asked about what sets 'AneunJin' apart, Kai said, "The concept keeps changing. Various concepts emerge depending on the situation. Also, the MCs don't seem to prioritize the guests much; they focus on themselves." He added, "The hyungs guide us well. Sang-min hyung is excellent at his MC role, knowing when to cut off."

Lee Sang-min emphasized, "Guests don't want to leave after the show ends. They linger around because it's so fun. Everyone enjoyed it. You'll be drawn in the moment you watch it. It's a talk show, but you'll forget it's a talk show. You can look forward to it."

Kai mentioned EXO member Chanyeol as someone he'd like to invite, saying, "Chanyeol hyung has become funnier lately. He wasn't funny before. Since he's acted, I think he'd do great if he came."
