K-Drama 'Prescription for Love' Tops Weekend Ratings with Reunion of Jin Se-yeon and Park Ki-woong
The KBS 2TV weekend drama 'Prescription for Love', starring Jin Se-yeon and Park Ki-woong, has claimed the top spot in weekend viewership ratings. This marks a reunion for Jin and Park, who last appeared together in the 2012 KBS2 drama 'Bridal Mask', 13 years ago.

The second episode, which aired on the 1st, showcased the fateful reunion of Gong Joo-ah (played by Jin Se-yeon) and Yang Hyun-bin (played by Park Ki-woong). The episode achieved a nationwide household rating of 17.4%, according to Nielsen Korea, making it the highest-rated show of the weekend.

The meeting between Gong Joo-ah and Yang Hyun-bin added vibrancy to the plot. A humorous misunderstanding ensued when a drunken Gong Joo-ah headed towards the sea, alarming Yang Hyun-bin, who she mistakenly thought was a harasser. Despite the initial confusion, the two ended up spending the night at the same guesthouse, engaging in unexpectedly sincere conversations that brought them closer.

Gong Joo-ah opened up about her passion for making clothes that bring happiness to others, revealing feelings she had kept hidden since a broadcast incident. Yang Hyun-bin responded, "Being someone who creates happiness is truly admirable." As he listened to a song Gong Joo-ah sang, he realized she was his first love from the past. Tenderly covering her with a blanket as she slept, he whispered, "I'm back, Gong Joo-ah," adding a touch of romance.

The next morning, Gong Joo-ah was startled to find herself having slept in Yang Hyun-bin's embrace. Returning home, she clashed once more with her mother, Han Seong-mi (played by Yoo Ho-jung). The tension between them highlighted the long-standing mother-daughter conflict, as Gong Joo-ah faced pressure to quit her job and focus on becoming a specialist.
