Kian84 Overcomes Challenges to Finish Arctic Marathon, Shares Emotional Moment with New Crew
Kian84, a popular South Korean entertainer, completed the Arctic Marathon despite suffering from cramps, and shared an emotional moment with his new crew.

The final episode of MBC's variety show 'Extreme84' aired on the 1st, showcasing Kian84 and his crew's ultimate challenge: completing the full course of the Arctic Marathon.

During the broadcast, Kian84 overcame the extreme cold and physical pain to finish 44th out of 125 participants. However, after crossing the finish line, he was moved to tears upon seeing his new crew member, Kwon Hwa-woon, who finished before him. Kian84 expressed his mixed emotions, saying, "I failed in Africa, and in France, I just drank... I really wanted to do well this time," and added, "I should have done better."

Kian84 confessed that he felt immense pressure and fear before the Arctic race due to a past experience where he had to quit a marathon mid-course due to vomiting. Despite completing the race, he felt a sense of guilt seeing Kwon Hwa-woon finish ahead of him.

In an interview with the production team, Kian84 shared, "I didn't want to cry. I didn't want to look weak. But seeing Hwa-woon, I couldn't hold back," expressing his gratitude towards his new crew member. He praised Kwon Hwa-woon, saying, "He's genuinely a good person. When I wonder why I can't run, he suggests trying different energy gels or offers to train together."

Kian84 also revealed, "Even on days when he had already completed his training, he would come out to run with me and even plan the course," touching the hearts of viewers.

Previously, Kian84 celebrated joint birthday parties with Park Na-rae on MBC's 'I Live Alone' for about nine years. After Park Na-rae's recent hiatus from the show due to a controversy, Kian84 received a birthday celebration from his new crew members, Kangnam and Kwon Hwa-woon, on 'Extreme84.'

During the surprise birthday party prepared by his new crew, Kian84 remarked, "I ate four servings of ramen, but the fact that they cooked ramen for me was a real surprise," and praised Kwon Hwa-woon for his cooking skills, saying, "He lives alone, so he's good at cooking." He also expressed his affection, stating, "In my heart, Hwa-woon is number one," bringing warmth to the broadcast.
