K-Pop Star Dawn Parts Ways with Agency After Three Years
K-pop artist Dawn has announced his departure from his agency after three years.

On the 29th, Dawn took to Instagram to share, "I am announcing the end of my exclusive contract with At Area," signaling his entry into the free agent market.

Dawn expressed, "The time spent working towards the same goals has been a valuable experience and deep learning for me," adding, "I will return with music and a persona that reflects my unique style, even if it takes some time."

He continued, "I ask for warm encouragement and support for my future endeavors and for At Area as we each go our separate ways."

Previously, Dawn had signed with At Area in 2023 and explained the background of his contract during a radio appearance in September of that year. He recalled, "I was initially going to sign with another company, but unexpectedly met GroovyRoom through Jay Park. After talking for an hour, it was the most memorable meeting, and I wanted to work with them."

Dawn added, "When we met again, GroovyRoom handed me a contract, and I signed it without reading it. I really didn't read it." At Area was formerly under GroovyRoom's management.

Meanwhile, Dawn and fellow artist HyunA ended their relationship in November 2022. HyunA is set to marry producer and rapper Yong Jun-hyung, with whom she shares a close friendship, in October 2024. HyunA remains with At Area.
