Director Jang Hang-jun of 'The Man Living with the King' expressed his gratitude to friends who sent coffee trucks to support him. He also subtly hoped for BTS's RM to attend the film's premiere.
On the 23rd, director Jang Hang-jun was interviewed at a café in Samcheong-dong, Seoul, about his film 'The Man Living with the King.'
The movie tells the story of King Danjong, the 6th king of Joseon, who was dethroned and exiled to Yeongwol, and the village chief of his place of exile. The film stars Yoo Hae-jin and Park Ji-hoon.
Director Jang humorously mentioned that he asked his acquaintances to send coffee trucks to boost his morale. "Many people sent coffee trucks this time as well," he said, expressing his gratitude.
Jang Hang-jun, who is acquainted with BTS's RM, was asked if he had invited RM to the premiere. He replied, "Namjoon (RM's real name) is someone who speaks at the UN. He can't be compared to others," causing laughter. He added, "I did reach out to see if he could attend the premiere. I don't have his contact information. I'm not the type to ask for contacts first. Namjoon couldn't attend the 'Rebound' premiere but showed up. I reached out this time too, but I'm not sure if he can make it," he said, hoping for RM's attendance with a smile.
'The Man Living with the King' is set to release on February 4th.
