Actress Lee Joo-bin has spoken out about a scandal involving the unauthorized use of her viral ID photo.
Lee Joo-bin recently appeared on Kian84's YouTube channel 'Life84' where she enjoyed a day at Seoul Land with the host. During the episode, a photo taken in 2017 was brought up, prompting Lee to cautiously address the issue.
When Kian84 remarked, "This photo is quite famous," Lee Joo-bin revealed, "It became so well-known that it was used by scammers posing as customer service agents, and I even received a court notice due to fraud cases."
She further explained, "I was contacted about investment scams, where my ID was forged to say 'Trust me and invest.' I had to appear in court to confirm whether I was aware of my photo being used in such a manner."
Kian84 humorously commented, "Your face looks so trustworthy. If you told me to buy something, I probably would," eliciting laughter.
Additionally, Lee Joo-bin revealed that before her acting debut, she earned approximately 4.5 million won a month as a fitting model. She said, "I worked about two days a week, four to five times a month, earning 450,000 won per day. I lived independently from the age of 21, using that income for tuition, living expenses, and rent."
Lee concluded, "I wasn't confident about acting, so I told myself to try for just one more year, and now it's been ten years. Fortunately, I've made it to 'The Outlaws 4'."
