Chef Ahn Sung-jae's daughter has captured attention with her impressive culinary skills, seemingly inheriting her father's cooking DNA.
On the 14th, Ahn Sung-jae's YouTube channel 'Chef Ahn Sung-jae' featured a video where he, alongside his daughter, revisited the controversial Dubai Chewy Cookie (Doochonku) recipe, following public criticism.
The video was themed 'Doochonku Recipe A/S'. Ahn Sung-jae humorously asked, "Does the name 'Dubai Hard Candy' suit it?" to which his daughter, Si-young, candidly replied, "It fits quite well," eliciting laughter.
In the video, Si-young took the lead in preparing the Doochonku. She skillfully handled the tough ingredients with calm precision, prompting the production team to marvel, "Si-young is almost at a professional level. She doesn't even get her hands dirty."
The production team added subtitles praising her, "Neat, precise. It's the handwork of a master chef." Ahn Sung-jae jokingly remarked, "I think I can step back. It seems I'm not needed here."
While inspecting the Doochonku, Si-young pointed out, "There's a bit too much of dad's influence," to which Ahn Sung-jae asked for her approval, "Is this okay?" After tasting the finished product, Si-young expressed her satisfaction, saying, "It's delicious," and added, "Everything dad makes is always tasty," creating a heartwarming moment.
