Artist and producer ZICO has released a teaser for his upcoming music video.
On the evening of the 17th, ZICO premiered the teaser for his new single 'DUET' on the official HYBE Labels YouTube channel. The video features Japanese musician Lilas (also known as ikura from YOASOBI), who collaborates with ZICO in the video shot in Japan, adding an exotic flair.
In the teaser, ZICO is seen running as if being chased, seeking refuge inside a store, where he encounters a mysterious figure repeating enigmatic movements. This scene connects with previously released concept photos, sparking curiosity. The two artists then pose amidst contrasting crowds, creating striking visuals.
The teaser's upbeat melody of 'DUET' combines Korean and Japanese lyrics, blending ZICO and Lilas's distinct vocal tones for a refreshing sound. The production team, who previously worked on 'SPOT! (feat. JENNIE)', contributed to this track, with Lilas penning the Japanese lyrics, adding her unique touch. Given ZICO's previous 'real friend' vibe with Jennie, fans are eager to see the dynamic he shares with Lilas.
Set to release at midnight on the 19th, 'DUET' explores the concept of performing a duet with an ideal partner, generating anticipation for the synergy between the two diverse artists.
ZICO will drop the track and music video at midnight on the 19th and will debut the 'DUET' performance at 'The 17th Melon Music Awards, MMA2025' held at Seoul's Gocheok Sky Dome on the 20th.
