SeeYa Reunites for 20th Anniversary with Emotional Pre-Release Track 'Nevertheless, We'
'Nevertheless, We' is an emotional ballad that conveys the longing, apologies, and joy of reuniting after 15 years. During the recording, the members were so moved by the lyrics that they shed tears, causing a temporary halt in the session. This heartfelt sincerity is expected to deeply resonate with music fans.
Ahead of the release, individual teaser videos of Nam Gyu-ri, Kim Yeon-ji, and Lee Bo-ram were shared on their official YouTube channel. Nam Gyu-ri reflected, "I was truly sincere when I was with SeeYa," while Kim Yeon-ji likened the experience to a first love, and Lee Bo-ram expressed gratitude to the fans who believed in them despite moments of doubt. These teasers offered a candid glimpse into their peak years and the 15-year hiatus.
Set against the backdrop of majestic rock mountains and silver grass fields, the members' mature visuals are complemented by poignant lyrics like "Nevertheless, we will keep singing, so that wounds don't define us," and "Not just a flower of a moment, but a tree that endures seasons," heightening anticipation for their comeback.
Significantly, the members took the lead in planning the entire event, from the concept of 'RE:BLOOM' to stage design and messages for fans, adding depth to their 20th-anniversary celebration.
This reunion is more than just a performance; it's a meaningful moment to embrace a new season with fans. The members shared, "Much has changed and shaken us, but we wanted to stand before our fans after all this time," hoping the song and fan meeting will serve as a cherished response to the long wait.
Following the release of 'Nevertheless, We' at 6 PM, SeeYa will hold a fan meeting titled 'RE:BLOOM' at 7 PM at EDLS in Jongno-gu, Seoul. By choosing a fan meeting as their first official event upon their full-group return, SeeYa aims to bridge the 15-year gap with their fans.
SeeYa plans to continue their activities with appearances on variety shows and will release a full album in May, featuring producers Park Geun-tae and Kim Do-hoon, marking the official return of the 'legendary vocal group.'
