Singer Jung Jae-hyung Denies Involvement in Illegal Medical Practices Amid 'Injection Auntie' Controversy

Singer Jung Jae-hyung has firmly denied any involvement with the so-called 'Injection Auntie,' who is accused of performing illegal medical procedures.

On the 10th, Jung Jae-hyung's agency, Antenna, released an official statement to TenAsia, saying, "We are issuing this statement to correct the misinformation that has been circulating."

The agency further clarified, "To prevent further misunderstandings related to the controversial variety show episode, we want to make it clear that Jung Jae-hyung has no connection whatsoever with the matter. He does not have any acquaintance or even a passing familiarity with the individual known as A."

Previously, comedian Park Na-rae was embroiled in allegations of receiving illegal medical services from the 'Injection Auntie' at her home. In response, Park Na-rae's legal representative, Attorney Lee Se-jung from the law firm Gwangjang, stated, "There is nothing legally problematic about this. Due to her busy filming schedule, Park Na-rae was unable to visit the hospital, so she requested a house call from her regular doctor and nurse to receive an IV drip, which is a widely used legal medical service for general patients."

The controversy has also implicated fellow celebrities, with suspicions arising about Jung Jae-hyung's involvement with the 'Injection Auntie.' The issue stemmed from an episode of MBC's 'I Live Alone' aired in December last year, where Jung Jae-hyung and Park Na-rae were seen making kimchi. After the kimchi-making, Park Na-rae mentioned scheduling an IV drip, and Jung Jae-hyung suggested doing it together, which has since been revisited. Although Jung Jae-hyung has clarified his stance, suspicions continue to linger, involving other figures like SHINee's Key.
