Actor Moo Jin-sung Discusses Mixed Reactions to 'Typhoon Company'
Actor Moo Jin-sung has opened up about the mixed reactions to the storyline of 'Typhoon Company'.

On the 4th, at the TenAsia office in Jungnim-dong, Seoul, Moo Jin-sung, who starred in the tvN drama 'Typhoon Company', shared his thoughts.

'Typhoon Company', which concluded on September 30th, is set during the 1997 IMF financial crisis and follows the growth of rookie businessman Kang Tae-pung, played by Lee Junho, who becomes the head of a struggling trading company. Moo Jin-sung took on the role of villain Pyo Hyun-joon, who is envious of Kang Tae-pung.

As the drama unfolded with continuous challenges for Typhoon Company, viewers expressed mixed feelings, describing it as "frustrating" and "repetitive." In response to these reactions, Moo Jin-sung commented, "I believe that a drama needs to have stimulating elements to capture the audience's attention. However, if you think about it, not everything in life is exhilarating. I wanted 'Typhoon Company' to reflect that feeling."

He further added, "Life often seems promising but doesn't always turn out as expected. The realistic aspects of the drama might have made viewers feel a bit frustrated. Nonetheless, while filming, I often thought about portraying real-life stories authentically."

Despite the mixed reactions to its storyline, the final episode of 'Typhoon Company' achieved a nationwide household rating of 10.3%, peaking at 11.4%, marking a successful conclusion. Regarding this, Moo Jin-sung expressed his gratitude, saying, "It was a 16-episode series, so viewers stayed with us for a long time. I'm thankful for the love shown until the end," he said with a smile.
