On the 21st, Lee Yi-kyung shared a lengthy post on his account, explaining, "The reason I haven't spoken about my position until now is because my agency requested that I refrain from commenting until we completed the criminal complaint against the disseminator with the help of a lawyer." He also posted a photo of the complaint.
He stated, "A few days ago, I visited the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul to give my statement as the complainant. I conveyed my stance on the rumors and completed the legal procedures for defamation due to threats and false information."
Lee Yi-kyung expressed, "I was filled with anger every moment," adding, "A person claiming to be German, whose identity and reality are unknown, repeatedly appeared and disappeared, sending threatening emails to the company months ago. The company calmed me down, saying there was no reason to engage in a truth battle over false information."
He continued, "Although it was dismissed as fabrication in a day, I was advised to step down from a variety show, and we chose to voluntarily leave. During a previous controversy, I clearly stated I didn't want to participate, but they rented a noodle shop because of me and asked for my cooperation. My comment, 'It's just for entertainment,' was edited out. When the controversy arose, the production team only made absurd excuses, leaving me to handle the fallout alone, severely damaging my image." Lee Yi-kyung had previously exited MBC's 'Hangout with Yoo.'
Regarding KBS 2TV's 'The Return of Superman,' he explained, "I was informed that I would only appear in VCRs for other shows, but I learned from articles that I was replaced."
He shared his current status, saying, "I am filming without any changes. I recently finished shooting the movie 'Generational Discontent' and am progressing well with a Vietnamese film, overseas drama, and variety show shoots."
