With the help of Jeon Dong-min (played by Jin-young), Kim Young-ran narrowly escapes death and decides to change her plans after being enraged by Ga Sun-young's attempt to have her killed by a hitman. To stop Ga Sun-young's malicious acts, which have harmed not only her but also those around her, Kim Young-ran decides to reveal herself to the public.

With the assistance of Lee Don (played by Seo Hyun-woo), Kim Young-ran holds a press conference to address the suspicions surrounding her and declares that the Ga siblings, Ga Sun-young and Ga Sun-woo (played by Lee Chang-min), should not inherit the family business. The public reacts intensely to her every word, fueling curiosity about the internal affairs of the Ga family.

Upon hearing about the press conference, Ga Sun-young sets another trap for Kim Young-ran, conspiring with Kim Young-ran's mother, Kim So-young (played by So Hee-jung), and stepfather, Kim Kyo-bong (played by Shin Mun-sung), to stage a murder plot. As planned by Ga Sun-young, public opinion turns against Kim Young-ran once more, and even the usually composed Lee Don loses his cool, leaving Kim Young-ran bewildered.

Ga Sun-young further manipulates the situation by luring Lee Don with the claim that she has found the missing Ga Sun-woo, attempting to separate him from Kim Young-ran and threatening him to stop helping her. The tension escalates as Lee Don is visibly shaken by Ga Sun-young's ruthless tactics.

Amidst Ga Sun-young's relentless attacks, it is Jeon Dong-min who offers comfort to the beleaguered Kim Young-ran. Having missed Kim Young-ran since she left Moochang Village, Jeon Dong-min follows his friend Seo Tae-min (played by Kang Ki-doong) to Seoul to care for the injured Baek Hye-ji (played by Joo Hyun-young) and visits Kim Young-ran at her mansion.

Jeon Dong-min expresses his concern, saying, "I missed you. I was very worried," and surprises viewers by confessing, "I like you a lot." Although taken aback by the unexpected confession, Kim Young-ran is unable to reciprocate his feelings due to the unresolved issues she faces.

Suppressing her emotions, Kim Young-ran firmly rejects Jeon Dong-min's confession, leaving viewers with a sense of longing. The episode concludes with Jeon Dong-min's wistful gaze at the empty space left by Kim Young-ran and her tearful reflection on him. As Ga Sun-young's attacks intensify, viewers are left wondering if Kim Young-ran and Jeon Dong-min can protect each other until the end.
