Former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin has launched a new entertainment agency named 'ooak'. The legal battle over NewJeans' contract termination with ADOR is set for a first-instance ruling later this month.
According to court records on the 24th, Min recently established the new agency and completed its corporate registration on the 16th.
The agency's business objectives include celebrity management, music production, album production, music and album distribution, event planning and production, brand management, advertising, and electronic and recorded media publishing. Min is listed as an internal director.
The agency's office is located near Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, with construction reportedly underway. The company's capital is 30 million KRW.
This marks Min's first official move since stepping down as an internal director of ADOR on November 20th last year. She announced the establishment of 'ooak' by posting several related drawings on her Instagram story.
NewJeans declared their intention to leave ADOR last November due to unresolved issues. They attempted to rebrand as 'NJZ' and pursue independent activities, but these efforts were ultimately unsuccessful.
The first-instance ruling on ADOR's lawsuit to confirm the validity of NewJeans' exclusive contract is expected later this month. Depending on the outcome, the members may leave ADOR and join Min's new venture, 'ooak'.
