Doh Kyung-soo takes on the role of a villain in Disney+'s original series 'Sculpted City'.
'Sculpted City' is an action drama that follows Tae-jung (played by Ji Chang-wook), who leads an ordinary life until he is unjustly entangled in a heinous crime and ends up in prison. He discovers that everything was orchestrated by Yohan (played by Doh Kyung-soo) and sets out on a path of revenge.
Doh Kyung-soo, known for his versatile performances in films like 'Swing Kids', 'The Moon', 'Secret That Cannot Be Told', and dramas such as 'It's Okay, That's Love' and '100 Days My Prince', challenges himself with his first villain role in 'Sculpted City'. He plays the character Ahn Yohan, a sculptor who designs events and manipulates the lives of others with a sinister and mad persona. Yohan runs a special security service for the top 1% and derives pleasure from fabricating evidence and framing others. As he plans to eliminate Tae-jung, who might be his only failure, a fierce confrontation ensues.
The released stills capture Doh Kyung-soo's chilling and ruthless transformation, drawing attention. In a white room where he observes his 'sculptures' through CCTV, Yohan appears to be searching for his next target, heightening curiosity about the events he will orchestrate. Doh Kyung-soo enhances the villainous allure of Yohan with a sharp, short hairstyle and monochrome outfits, raising anticipation for his portrayal.
Doh Kyung-soo shared, "It's my first time playing a villain. The character needed to appear cold, so I pondered how to express Yohan." Director Park Shin-woo commented, "Yohan is a character of pure evil. Doh Kyung-soo's clear eyes and innocent smile perfectly matched the image of Yohan I envisioned," increasing intrigue about his villainous role.
With Ji Chang-wook's intense pursuit of revenge and Doh Kyung-soo's debut as a villain, the series promises a fierce rivalry. The synergy of fresh actors like Kim Jong-soo, Jo Yoon-soo, and Lee Kwang-soo, combined with the solid writing of 'Taxi Driver' series writer Oh Sang-ho, culminates in 'Sculpted City'. The series will premiere exclusively on Disney+ on November 5th with four episodes, followed by two episodes released weekly, totaling 12 episodes.
