The group Kickflip has credited all its members in the creation of their new album.
Kickflip held a media showcase on the 22nd at the YES24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, to celebrate the release of their third mini-album, 'My First Flip'.
The title track, 'A Song I've Never Sung Before', is an up-tempo dance track based on pop-punk, featuring powerful synth sounds and guitar riffs. It captures the thrilling moment of confessing first love, with the youngest member, Donghyun, participating in both writing and composing, showcasing his musical talents.
Donghyun, who also contributed to the title track of their second album, expressed, "I was able to complete a great song by working with excellent composers and producers, and I learned a lot in the process. After creating the song, I listened to it from start to finish with my eyes closed and couldn't wait to share it with my brothers. I was really happy when the members liked the title track." KJ added, "When I first heard the title track, it felt like I became the protagonist of a youth comic," expressing his satisfaction.
The new album explores the story of a slightly awkward first love. It includes a total of seven tracks, including the title track, 'Band-Aid', 'Singularity', 'Again, Here', 'Gas On It', '404: Not Found', and 'It's a Secret I Had a Nightmare'. All members participated in the creation of the entire album.
Minjae, who participated in composing the pre-released track 'Band-Aid', said, "Participating in composing for the first time allowed me to gain a lot of experience. I was able to take a step closer to the world of music. My satisfaction level is 10 out of 10." Gyehoon, who contributed to the lyrics and composition of 'Singularity', added, "I will humbly rate it 9 out of 10."
Kickflip's third mini-album 'My First Flip' will be released at 6 PM today.
