Actor Park Yong-woo (54) has shared his reasons for choosing his latest project.
On the 16th, a press conference for KBS 2TV's new weekend mini-series 'Walking On Thin Ice' was held at The Saint in Sindorim, Seoul. The event was attended by Lee Young-ae, Kim Young-kwang, Park Yong-woo, and director Song Hyun-wook.
KBS 2TV's new weekend mini-series 'Walking On Thin Ice' (directed by Song Hyun-wook, written by Jeon Young-shin, produced by Baram Pictures and Slingshot Studio) tells the story of Kang Eunsoo, a parent who wants to protect her family, and Lee Kyung, a teacher with two faces, as they embark on a dangerous and desperate partnership after accidentally acquiring a bag of drugs.
In the series, Park Yong-woo plays Jang Tae-goo, the head of the narcotics investigation team at Gwangnam Police Station. Park Yong-woo stated, "Actors often choose projects based on the script when they first encounter them. However, it's rare to come across a script that immediately makes you want to be part of it. 'Walking On Thin Ice' was one of those rare scripts that captivated me after several years."
He added, "Playing a police officer is a common role, but depicting everyday and mundane things in a special way is quite challenging. Yet, every scene was filled with tension, making me wonder, 'How can they portray it like this?' I am confident that the story will keep viewers intrigued and unfold in unexpected ways."
KBS 2TV's new weekend mini-series 'Walking On Thin Ice' is set to premiere on September 20th (Saturday) at 9:20 PM.
