Korean Actress Sunwoo Yong-yeo Revisits Her Former Cheongdam-dong Property Purchased for $800 in the 1970s

Korean actress Sunwoo Yong-yeo recently revisited the site of her former home in Cheongdam-dong, Seoul, which she purchased 50 years ago for 800,000 won (approximately $800 at the time).

In a YouTube video released on the 8th, Sunwoo Yong-yeo took a trip down memory lane as she visited the location of her past residence in Cheongdam-dong.

During the visit, Sunwoo reminisced, “I had bought an apartment in Banpo, but I wanted to live where there was land, so I purchased a house in Cheongdam-dong. The land was 99 pyeong, and the house was 27 pyeong. The rest was all lawn.”

Sunwoo, who mentioned she sold the land when moving to the United States, clarified, “I didn’t sell it when I first went to the U.S. I only sold one apartment and rented out the rest. But my husband sold everything when he returned from the U.S. It’s okay. I am rich. I am rich in spirit, so I don’t envy anything.”

The property, originally purchased for 800,000 won in the 1970s, is now reportedly valued at around 10 billion won (approximately $100 million).
