South Korean singer Jang Min-ho has been named the 'Artist of September' by TENASIA's global voting platform.
TENASIA recently conducted a poll on their website to select the 'Artist of the Month' for artists with September birthdays. Jang Min-ho, who celebrates his birthday on September 11, emerged as the winner, receiving the highest number of votes among his peers.
Jang Min-ho debuted in 1997 as the main vocalist of the group 'U-Bes'. He gained widespread recognition in 2020 after finishing in sixth place on TV Chosun's 'Mr. Trot', marking a career peak 24 years after his debut.
Jang Min-ho continues to carve out his unique musical path. In November last year, he released 'Essay ep.3', the third installment in his mini-album series. This release came 13 months after 'Essay ep.2', much to the delight of his fans. The album, themed around 'travel', transforms everyday life into a journey through music, showcasing new genres previously unexplored by the artist. The tracks span a variety of styles, including traditional Korean music, ballads, and dance, highlighting Jang's versatile charm.
Jang Min-ho is also making his mark in the entertainment industry. He has demonstrated his stable hosting skills as an MC on various shows. In March, he wrapped up 'Car Wash JANG(세차JANG)8', where he took on the role of a car wash owner and led a talk show. His comedic talents have also been showcased on programs like tvN STORY's 'Handsome Trot(잘생긴 트롯)'. Looking ahead, he is set to co-host MBN's upcoming trot audition show 'Legend of the Unknown - Trot Men's Rank War(무명전설-트롯 사내들의 서열전쟁)' with Kim Dae-ho, slated for 2026.
Jang Min-ho continues to connect with fans through live performances. In April, he concluded his '2025 Jang Min-ho National Tour Concert 'Good Times: Time Travel'' at Kyung Hee University's Peace Hall in Seoul.
