The popular MBC variety show 'Hangout with Yoo' is set to reveal the top 80s hits that viewers want to hear again. Last week's episode recorded a nationwide household rating of 6.0% according to Nielsen Korea.
Directed by Kim Jin-yong, Lee Joo-won, Ahn Ji-sun, Lee Do-eun, and Bang Sung-soo, and written by Noh Min-sun, 'Hangout with Yoo' continues to captivate audiences.
On the August 30th episode, the show will feature the '80s Seoul Music Festival' with 15 participants, including DinDin, Lala, Liz (IVE), Park Myung-soo, Park Young-kyu, Solar (Mamamoo), WOODZ, Yoon Do-hyun, Lee Yong-jin, Lee Juck, Lee Jun-young, Jung Sung-hwa, Choi Yu-ri, Choi Jung-hoon (Jannabi), and Ha Dong-kyun, coming together to perform iconic 80s songs. The top five 80s songs, as voted by viewers, will be announced, uniting everyone from the eldest, Park Young-kyu, to the youngest, Liz, through music.
During the show, Yoo Jae-suk humorously shouts, "Sister! I love it so much," as a song from his youth plays, encouraging a sing-along. Choi Yu-ri, a standout from the '80s Seoul Music Festival,' expresses her desire to perform a particular song, moving everyone with her emotional vocals. Yoo Jae-suk, impressed, suggests, "Let's sign a record deal," sparking curiosity about the song choice.
As the top five songs are revealed, participants, immersed in 80s nostalgia, spontaneously express their desire to perform. Park Myung-soo, seated among Choi Jung-hoon, Jung Sung-hwa, Ha Dong-kyun, and WOODZ, humorously protests, "Why am I left out?" A lone supporter of Park Myung-soo emerges, providing comic relief.
