On October 26th, the RIAA announced on its official website that Jennie's single 'Mantra' and the title track of her first solo studio album, 'Like JENNIE,' have both received Gold certifications.
With this achievement, Jennie now holds three RIAA certifications, setting a new record for K-pop solo artists. Previously, she earned a Platinum certification for her collaboration with The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp on the track 'One Of The Girls.'
Jennie's first solo studio album, 'Ruby,' released in March, has set a new benchmark in K-pop history. It recorded the highest first-week sales for a female K-pop solo artist this year, with 661,130 copies sold. Additionally, five tracks from 'Ruby,' including 'Like JENNIE,' 'Mantra,' 'Love Hangover (feat. Dominic Fike),' 'ExtraL (feat. Doechii),' and 'Handlebars (feat. Dua Lipa),' successfully entered the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
The RIAA awards certifications based on digital single and album sales, categorized as Gold (over 500,000 units), Platinum (over 1 million units), Multi-Platinum (over 2 million units), and Diamond (over 10 million units). The unit count includes physical and digital album sales, digital downloads, and audio and video streaming, with weighted calculations.
