Singer Jang Yoon-jung has accepted an apology from KBS announcer Kim Jin-woong, who referred to her husband, broadcaster Do Kyung-wan, as 'Jang Yoon-jung's subordinate.'
On the 25th, Kim Jin-woong posted an apology on his social media. He stated, "I apologize for my careless remarks on the broadcast that caused concern to Do Kyung-wan and Jang Yoon-jung. I also extend my apologies to viewers and fans who may have felt uncomfortable."
Previously, on the KBS show 'The Boss Has Donkey Ears' aired on the 24th, Kim Jin-woong sparked controversy by saying, "I can't live like senior Do Kyung-wan. It might be disrespectful to say, but I can't live as someone's subordinate." Following the broadcast, Jang Yoon-jung expressed her displeasure by capturing the article containing Kim's remarks and posting it on her social media. She commented, "We aren't even close," and added, "Words or actions that don't make the other person smile can't be disguised as 'jokes' or 'pranks.' There is no 'subordinate' in a family."
Kim Jin-woong reached out to Jang Yoon-jung directly to apologize, and she accepted his apology. Jang Yoon-jung later posted, "I am grateful to everyone who empathized with my post and comforted my upset feelings. Just a while ago, I received a message from an unknown number, and (Kim Jin-woong) said he found my number to apologize." She continued, "It must have taken courage to apologize, and I believe that when someone apologizes, you should consider their sincerity and accept it. I won't say much more. I wish him peace, happiness, and luck in the future."
