TVXQ!'s Yunho shared valuable advice with teams performing his group's iconic songs.
On the 16th, the 9th episode of SBS's 'B:MY BOYZ' featured the fourth round of the 'K-POP Legend Match' with TVXQ!'s Yunho. The round included performances of 'Rising Sun', 'MIROTIC', and 'Keep Your Head Down' by three teams. The top three from the previous round, Hyo, Lee Yeon-tae, and Kang Jun-sung, selected the songs and team members. Each team also performed the designated song 'HUG'.
Lee Yeon-tae, who led the 'MIROTIC' team, stated, "'MIROTIC' is a legendary song, and many seniors have covered it. The key is to enjoy and show something new." Despite a lively group practice, the team struggled with expressing a sexy vibe.
The 'Keep Your Head Down' team faced challenges with powerful choreography, high notes, and fast rap but focused on song interpretation, led by Kim Jung-hoon. "We want to channel our energy together," said Kim. Kai, active as the center, added, "If we unleash our energy, we'll receive good feedback."
The 'Rising Sun' team focused on live practice despite the song's difficulty, with a standout performance featuring a knee slide by Park Se-chan. Hyo encouraged the team, saying, "Think of this stage as a sprint towards debut."
The mid-round evaluation took place unexpectedly at a high school, where B:GINNERs performed live in front of students and masters, receiving enthusiastic applause. Hyo admitted to some mistakes due to excitement but promised improvement. Kang Jun-sung said, "The students gave us a lot of energy," while Kim Jung-hoon described it as "a scene from a youth drama."
After feedback, 'MIROTIC' members Kim Bo-hyun and Ban Daniel focused on powerful choreography, while 'Keep Your Head Down' members Kang Jun-sung and Lee Yun-sung worked on intense facial expressions. 'Rising Sun' member Ai aimed to boost charisma. Master Lia Kim praised Kai's performance, and Jin-ho complimented Hyo's rap start.
MCs Miyeon and Dex announced the start of the main stage, with Yunho expressing anticipation for the 'Rising Sun' team. Hyo suggested using clock sounds for a memorable intro, enhancing the performance.
Yunho praised the 'Rising Sun' performance, saying, "The energy was great. I understand the clock intro. Ai's high-difficulty kicks were impressive, and Hyo's opening rap was charismatic and stable." Lia Kim agreed, "This song suits Hyo well."
Yunho offered constructive feedback, "It was too dance-focused, but with such momentum, you can refine it further." The 'Rising Sun' team expressed satisfaction with their performance.
The successful start of the fourth round will continue with 'MIROTIC' and 'Keep Your Head Down' performances airing next week. The growth and teamwork of B:GINNERs in the semifinals are thrilling viewers. The climax of 'B:MY BOYZ' is eagerly anticipated.
