Lim Yoon-a Expresses Passion for Acting and Desire for Diverse Roles in 'Pretty Crazy'

Lim Yoon-a, star of 'Pretty Crazy,' reveals her eagerness to showcase a wider range of acting skills.

Recently, at a café in Sogyeok-dong, Seoul, Lim Yoon-a, the lead actress of the film 'Pretty Crazy,' shared her thoughts on her career.

'Pretty Crazy' is a comedy that follows the story of Gil-gu, an unemployed young man played by Ahn Bo-hyun, who gets entangled in a bizarre part-time job of monitoring Seon-ji, portrayed by Lim Yoon-a, who turns into a devil every dawn due to a family curse. By day, Seon-ji runs a bakery, but by night, she transforms into a devil.

Reflecting on her 18-year career, Lim Yoon-a stated, "I feel like I'm on a journey that starts with a question mark and ends with an exclamation point. I have a strong desire to excel in whatever is in front of me. I often ponder how I should approach each role and whether I can express it well." She added, "I move forward once I've thoroughly contemplated and reached that 'exclamation point.' I give my best and don't hold regrets once it's over. I believe I'm progressing well without any regrets. There are areas I need to improve, and I strive to objectively assess myself."

Known for her roles in romantic comedies and quirky characters, Lim Yoon-a expressed her desire to break boundaries. "Having done many works with comedic elements, I sometimes wonder if I'm limiting myself. I want to try new things. I'm open to dark or villainous roles, or anything with a twist. I'd love to take on projects that allow me to show a side of me that people haven't seen before," she said. She also mentioned, "As I mature and grow, I've realized that I need to show the journey, not just the destination. I want to be a person with diverse colors, not confined to one."

At 35, Lim Yoon-a reflected on her 30s, saying, "I've often said that becoming an adult is quite challenging. It may sound emotional, but there are times when I genuinely feel that way. In my 20s, I didn't notice certain things that I do now in my 30s." She continued, "In my 20s, I could achieve many things through my experiences. I saw solutions based on experience. Now, in my 30s, I feel a sense of responsibility in my choices and have time to reflect on myself."
