Lim Yoon-a Hopes to Ride the Success Wave of Jo Jung-suk's 'My Daughter is a Zombie'

Lim Yoon-a expressed her desire to follow in the successful footsteps of Jo Jung-suk's 'Zombie Daughter'.

Recently, I had the opportunity to meet Lim Yoon-a, the lead actress of the film 'Pretty Crazy', at a café in Sogyeok-dong, Seoul.

'Pretty Crazy' is a comedy that follows the story of a young unemployed man, Gil-gu (played by Ahn Bo-hyun), who gets entangled in a bizarre part-time job of monitoring Seon-ji (played by Lim Yoon-a), who turns into a devil every dawn due to a family curse. During the day, Seon-ji runs a bakery, but at night, she transforms into a devil.

Lim Yoon-a shared, "While filming, he was very considerate and approachable with the staff, which naturally created a great atmosphere on set." She added, "I thought he fit the character of Gil-gu well and he put a lot of thought and research into his acting. He seems to be an actor with great focus."

Jo Jung-suk, who starred opposite Lim Yoon-a in 'Exit' (2019), which attracted 9.42 million viewers, is currently leading the box office with 'My Daughter is a Zombie'. Released last month, 'Zombie Daughter' surpassed 3.55 million cumulative viewers by the 13th of this month. It set records for the highest opening score of the year, the highest opening score for a Korean comedy film, and the fastest to surpass 3 million viewers this year.

Lim Yoon-a remarked, "It seems that Jo Jung-suk has shown the power to draw many people to theaters. I'm grateful for that. It's meaningful to greet audiences this summer with our respective films, having worked together six years ago in the summer. Jo Jung-suk's 'My Daughter is a Zombie' seems to be leading the way in theaters, and I hope to follow that momentum. I hope those who enjoyed 'My Daughter is a Zombie' will also come to see 'Pretty Crazy'."
