Hyomin from T-ara shares her idol-era romance tactics on 'Jipdaeseong'.
On November 1st, the YouTube channel 'Jipdaeseong' aired an episode titled 'Return of the 2nd Generation: From Variety Shows to Romance Stories.ZIP', featuring T-ara's Hyomin, Sistar's Bora, Kara's Youngji, and Jewelry's Yewon.
During the episode, the members discussed Hyomin's wedding. Bora, Youngji, Yewon, and Daesung all attended the ceremony.
Yewon mentioned, "There were so many acquaintances at Hyomin's wedding," to which Daesung added, "I met Yewon for the first time at the wedding, and she confidently approached me saying, 'Oh, you know we're the same age, right? We might meet soon.'"
A flustered Yewon explained, "That's why I should carry a camera around," but added, "I thought we might meet soon on Jipdaeseong." Daesung laughed, saying, "The memory was so vivid that I looked it up later."
The idols also shared behind-the-scenes stories from the 'Idol Star Athletics Championships' (ISAC), known as a hotspot for idol romances.
Yewon recounted, "A male idol across from me waved and said 'hi'. I waved back, but then realized he was signaling to another female idol."
Bora commented, "There's nothing at ISAC," but Hyomin showed discomfort. Noticing this, Daesung asked, and Hyomin replied, "I can't do this anymore," expressing her newlywed awkwardness. She then confessed, "I've tried everything. I've passed notes in the broadcasting station and met in emergency stairwells."
When asked if she ever sneaked out during dorm life, Hyomin shared, "Sometimes the manager would come home, so I bought a wig and pretended to sleep. The members would text me to warn me."
Bora added, "We also sneaked out, but the company checked the elevator CCTV and caught us," revealing a shocking story. Youngji also shared, "I lived with the manager, and there was a CCTV at the entrance. It was obvious they were monitoring me. I felt oppressed by the company."
Yewon explained a method for idol flirting, "We get off at rest stops just to see each other's faces," while Daesung, who had no such experience, humorously commented, "The romantic thrill is overwhelming," causing laughter.
