Actor Choo Young-woo showcased his overwhelming presence.

On the October 22nd episode of tvN's Monday-Tuesday drama 'Gyeonwoo and Seonnyeo' (directed by Kim Yong-wan, written by Yang Ji-hoon, planned by CJ ENM, produced by Studio Dragon, Dexter Pictures, and Eocon Content Group), Choo Young-woo delivered a compelling performance, alternating between the roles of 'Bae Gyeon-woo' and 'Bong-soo'.

Bong-soo, who once dreamed of becoming an adult, was a student soldier in the past. Initially driven by youthful jealousy, he borrowed Bae Gyeon-woo's body but eventually took over. Bong-soo's portrayal of enjoying ordinary moments with friends and finding joy in simple pleasures like a lollipop evoked sympathy, as these were experiences he never had in life.

Hoping that Park Seong-ah (played by Jo Yi-hyun) might look at him with affection, Bong-soo diligently practiced archery, a dream of Bae Gyeon-woo, to gain her attention. His straightforward confessions, like "You look beautiful today," added a touch of romance to the drama.

However, Bong-soo soon discovered that Park Seong-ah was seeking a way to help Bae Gyeon-woo move on, realizing she would never smile brightly at him. In tears, Bong-soo lamented, "Shaman, shaman, shaman," expressing his sorrow. Frustrated by everyone seeking only Bae Gyeon-woo, Bong-soo spiraled out of control, determined to take over not just Bae Gyeon-woo's body but his life.

Through 'Gyeonwoo and Seonnyeo', Choo Young-woo broke the mold by portraying the once-feared spirit with both humor and intensity, showcasing a deeper interpretation. His portrayal of Bong-soo, who insists on doing whatever he desires like a child, earned him the nickname 'Bong-jjok', and his performance shone with blood, sweat, and tears.

Meanwhile, tvN's 'Gyeonwoo and Seonnyeo' airs every Monday and Tuesday at 8:50 PM.
