On a recent episode of MBC's 'Radio Star,' Lee Guk-joo caught attention by disclosing that she was once the owner of a studio building where the hip-hop duo Dynamic Duo resided. She stated, "I owned the building when Dynamic Duo was on the second floor."
However, with her schedule significantly reduced, she has moved to a 9-pyeong rental studio in Tokyo, costing 1.3 million won (approximately $1,100) per month. She explained, "It's been about three months since I found a place in Japan. With fewer opportunities in Korea, I'm trying to create content in nearby Japan."
Lee Guk-joo candidly shared, "I tend to tie up my money at home to avoid splurging," adding, "I don't have cash on hand right now. I could sell my house, but I feel like I would crumble." She also mentioned that she gave up her camper lifestyle to save on living expenses.
She openly discussed the challenges of her small space and inconvenient kitchen setup, admitting that the sink is too small to easily wash her dishes, so she rotates them to use. She confessed, "I'm tightening my belt and giving up what I need to."
Netizens responded to her honest confession with comments like "It's really realistic" and "There's a lot to learn from her asset management method of tying up money."
Lee Guk-joo's candid revelation about the reality behind her glamorous image resonates as a sincere portrayal of seeking her own path in a new environment.
